HALLOW'S EVE GHOST(S)?'

These pictures were taken with a 35mm camera, the kind with only one button and does not allow you the option of focusing. In other words, it's not a professional camera users camera.
These were taken on October 31, 1998 and are from two separate rolls of film. Some of the images taken that night feature a streaking effect of bright light sources that has never happened prior to this night. The night was clear, there was no fog or rain or mist in the air. The pictures were taken by different people at different times but were all on the same block.
The block in question was the street where my father, George, who passed away some two years ago, grew up. He was a believer in the afterlife and of ghosts. These pictures represent the first time anything of this nature being recorded on film by myself or any of the people who were with me that night. He loved Halloween and anything that had to do with the supernatural.
This was my son Colin's first Halloween, his Grandfather would have surely loved to be with him on this night.
These images have not been doctored, a few have been cropped to save
on download time and one has had the brightness/contrast adjusted because
the image was poorly rendered from disk. They will be noted as this page
continues.

This picture is the most amazing of the
bunch. This was taken outside and there was no smoke or fog in the area of the photographer. Looking closely, one can see what appears to be multiple images of faces without eyes or skulls. They all appear to be either howling, screaming or trying to speak. This is one of the most chilling things we have ever seen. This picture was not adjusted in any way whatsoever. |

This is a picture of the same house from
a different angle, that of the same side of the street as the house. Looking to the right of the porch there appears to be some kind of robed figure. The quality of this picture, as you can tell, is not the best, but the image is visible. The only thing next to the porch on that side was a bush near the supporting column. There was nothing hanging there at all. This image was reduced in size to save download time and match the previous image. |

This is another example of the streaking effect
from bright light sources experienced on this block. It is somewhat difficult
to see here, but, the red lights along the porch of this house are all
in the shape of the number 7. My father had 7 scars on his body from
various things. No other picture features lights streaking in
this particular manner. This image was reduced in size to
save download time and match the previous images,
it was also slightly darkened to
emphasize the lights. |

This picture was taken on the same block as the others and is the only picture to feature a double image. The cross in this picture is the only thing doubled as well. Unintelligible in this image is what appears to be a face in the upper right corner of the top of the cross. It resembles my father. The lights in this picture are not streaked in the same manner as the above picture, but are the same type of lights. This picture was reduced in size to match the other pictures. |

This was taken on the same block on as
the others. The spot on the top left is something that has never appeared before in any pictures we have ever taken. We aren't sure if the orangish glow coming from the house is a light or another ghost, we think it is only a light, but then again... This image was cropped to save space. |

This was taken a the day after Halloween in our bedroom. Our son Colin was sitting in his bouncing car when I too this picture. There is nothing in the room, where I was standing, that could have been in this picture as is the streak of light on the right. We have experienced numerous strange things in this house ever since my father died. Cold spots, strange burning smells when nothing was cooking and drafts when there was no wind outside. This picture was cropped to save space. |
As stated before, none of the effects in these pictures has been doctored in a manner that would create such imagery. Mykl and I firmly believe in ghosts, spirits, poltergeists or whatever you may call them as we have both had encounters with them in the past, before we knew each other and while we have been together.
All Hallow's Eve, Samhain, or Samhuiin is the one night of the year when it is firmly believed that the spirits of those who have gone ahead can, for a time, re-enter the world of the living and attempt communication. It is the time when this world and the Otherworld are the closest and passage is easiest between the two. We believe, firmly, that this was the case on that night. We believe it was the spirit of my father, George Carl Grove and a few others who attempted to reach us that night.
It does not frighten us to believe that this was the case.
It makes us feel safe knowing that those we love are watching over
us.
